Genes & Spirit; Gattaca

Para no haber sido especialmente apto para este mundo… encuentro difícil dejarlo
ahora... Dicen que estamos hechos de los mismos átomos del que están hechas las
estrellas…. Talvez no estoy dejando este mundo…. talvez solo estoy regresando a casa.

Lo que aquí parecen ser las palabras póstumas de una persona de pensamiento científico, en realidad están tomadas de las últimas palabras enunciadas en la cinta GATTACA, donde también, en perfecta sincronía, se pueden entender textualmente, ya que el protagonista Vincent, se encuentra dejando el planeta Tierra a bordo de un cohete espacial. Se trata de un no-valid tomando con consentimiento y contubernio la identidad de Jerome, un valid producto de la manipulación genética que tras un accidente queda invalido. Por lo que se puede entender como: Un impostor no-apto rumbo a las estrellas. “No hay gen para el espíritu humano”...[...]

“No hay gen para el espíritu humano” versa la frase principal. ¿A que se puede referir esta frase? En realidad, hay un pequeño problema en esta frase…. Parece que la primera mitad esta construida con lenguaje científico mientras que la segunda mitad con lenguaje típico del Transhumanismo. Asociar al gen y al espíritu en una idea así resulta enigmático.

El más apto, es el mejor adaptado biológicamente hablando… el espíritu... ¿Que cosa es?

For not been specially design for this World, I found hard to leave it now… some say than we are made from de same atoms than stars are made of… maybe I’m not leaving this world, maybe I’m just going back home.

What here seems to be the very last worlds of a scientific-minded man, in fact are taken just from the last words from the GATTACA film, where also, in perfect synchronization, you can understand it textually, as Vincent, the protagonist, is leaving the planet Earth on a spaceship. This is a no-valid taking the identity of Jerome, a valid, product of genetic handling that has become invalid after an accident. Then you may understand this phrase as; an impostor no-apt going to the stars.

“There is no gene for human spirit” verse the tagline… What does it mean? In fact, there’s a problem with this phrase… Seems that the first half is constructed with scientific language, while the other half does it with the typical language of Transhumanism . Association between the gene and the spirit in an idea like this, result enigmatic.

The most apt is the better adapted biologically speaking… the spirit… What is this?
